As my DD is getting older she LOVES to help bake and cook. Her love started early…..she loves to pull her chair up to the counter and help me add spices and mix things up. This is one of the first times she helped me bake – making sugar cookies and peanut butter hershey kiss drops last Christmas. This year we traded the store bought sugar cookie dough for homemade gingerbread!
This was inspired by the CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration challenge #220. Such a great challenge site – mixing a color challenge with journaling and design elements.
SCHEME: All colors represented
EVIDENCE: Stripes, Snowflakes, Flowers and leaves, Sprinkle Something (large glitter flakes like sugar)
TESTIMONY: On the back of the page: You were such a big helper with making Christmas cookies. At daycare there is a cookie exchange every year and you wanted to make sure that your cookies were home made. When we bought the cookie cutters – you didn’t want the Christmas cookie cutters, we got the fairy tale ones and an airplane for daddy. Your favorite part was decorating the cookies with icing and sprinkles. We got white icing and food coloring. You mixed up the dye to make icing in different colors. You were so proud of them when they were done! And they tasted delicious.
